I have really enjoyed using this collection of electrical families! The out-of-the-box families that I had been using for years don't have the anywhere near useful features that are built into these. The way the annotation shows up in different views is VERY helpful! I wish I had found out about these a long time ago!!!

This family, as usual, is great. It has everything you need to begin a simple residential project. From a basic electrical stand point of outlets and switches, it has everything. As far as lighting, it gets the job done, especially from a plan perspective. As far as lighting and interior elevations or rendering, you may want to explore the lighting packages for more advanced lighting options.

I am having an issue with the recessed pot light family, it is not cutting the host (Ceiling). Otherwise I am enjoying how simple and efficient it is to use.

The out-of-the-box electrical items in Revit were so unsatisfactory that I would typically export the Revit Floor Plan to AutoCad Architecture and create the electric plan there. That, of course. meant linking a pdf of that plan to Revit and pasting it onto a sheet. With reviews, revisions, etc. that meant numerous exports of the floor plan, and back and forth with the pdf.
Your electrical starter pack not only removed the need for extra steps, but also made the actual creation of the electric plan much easier. I love that the devices (receptacles, switches, etc.) automatically orient themselves and snap to the wall regardless of the wall being vertical, horizontal or angled.
